THE ROADMAP TO JANESVILLE'S FUTURE

There is no question that Janesville has endured some difficult economic times this year, and the worst may be yet to come. In light of our challenging circumstances, a dedicated group of volunteers has been hard at work on determining specific steps that the state and federal government can take immediately to help assure Janesville’s economic future. With the close assistance of Rock County Development Manager James Otterstein and Janesville Economic Development Director Doug Venable, the group developed policy statements on four issues listed below:

· Expansion of Interstate 39/90 to Six Lanes
· Development Opportunity Zone (DOZ) Status for Janesville
· Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Reform
· State Tax Credit Portability & Refundability
