I became a member because I grew up in Janesville and am so impressed with the growth in our community and am passionate about all the positive changes and family events we now have.

My original reason, way back when, was to cultivate new professional relationships in the hopes to recruit new business back to the bank I was working for at the time. I soon realized my reasons grew from a single goal to an excitement for the opportunity of building many long-lasting friendships, learning more about the businesses and happenings in our community, learning from mentors and leaders, the importance of banding together for the greater good AND scored some awesome careers along the way. I’ve continued my commitment over the years understanding the importance of Forward Janesville in our community. I am very grateful and proud to represent our community as an Ambassador.

One reason I chose to be an Ambassador is the community involvement. Getting the inside scoop and helping spread the word for our local businesses is my favorite part. I see the huge strides Janesville has made and will continue to make and I’m thrilled to be a part of it!

I am a FJI Ambassador because I want to bring community knowledge, awareness, and company/organization interest to our youth and our educators. I want to be known as a youth and community advocate who brings the needs of the community into the academia world. I want our students to graduate knowing which companies are in their backyard and realize that they can live a vibrant life in Janesville.

As a Forward Janesville ambassador, I am able to actively participate in the economic growth, prosperity, and health of our great community. I appreciate the positive rewards of "giving back," supporting, and celebrating our community's successes and milestones.

I want the library to be recognized as a community and business partner, and I want to be a visible connection to the library for anyone who wants to work with or be re-connected to the library either for personal or professional reasons.

(I do also have a very real professional purpose for staying connected to the business community, since I am the business librarian.)
